Hardships Are Coming. But Take Hope!

I realize that most of you reading this do not believe in a loving God who is personally involved in the lives of those who welcome Him. Billions of believers also once held that conviction. – I share this with you because I am convinced that we are eternal. And I desire with all my heart that everyone I know be in that Paradise with me.

As scary as the world is becoming, we can take comfort in knowing that God is in charge. Global warming, the rise of fascist dictators, pandemics, and the rise and fall of nations: All these things were predicted in the Bible. They will take place and increase during the final decade of this edition of our world. It is starting to happen now.

However, after this time of hardship, there is Good News on the horizon! Our world will be restored to a glory it has never known. It will be a world where goodness, peace, and brotherly love fill the earth.

This is a portion from the prophet Ezekiel, promising what will come after the inevitable difficulties that are beginning to occur. It speaks of the earth being replenished by the Lord when he returns. “I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river. This water flows toward the Sea. Wherever the river flows everything will live. Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit because the water from The Lord’s throne flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for the healing of the nations.” — Ezekiel 47.

And the Old Testament prophet, Hosea, says this is what will occur when The Messiah returns, “In that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, the birds in the sky and the creatures that move along the ground to not fear you anymore. Bow and sword and battle I will abolish from the land, so that all may lie down in safety. I will wed you to me forever; I will wed you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion. I will wed you in faithfulness, and you will acknowledge me, the Lord.” — Hosea 2

Jesus promises to take the believers who practice loving others out of this world before the worst that is to come. — “Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown… And, keep watch, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” – Matthew 24
