Be Devoted to Prayer

We will be blessed by doing so, as we learn from the Book of Job: “The Lord restored the fortunes of Job after he prayed for his friends, then the Lord increased all that Job had twofold. Job 42:10

Therefore, We urge you, brethren, to Pray without ceasing; and in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thess 5:14 &18

We avoid giving in to temptation when we “Keep watching and praying; for the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Mark 14:38

And this is how we know that we are walking in God’s Spirit; when we “Love each other, abhor what is evil and cling to what is good. Always serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality, persevering in tribulation, and when we are devoted to prayer.” Romans 12:12

So, Pray “at all times and not to lose heart; for God will protect His elect who cry to Him day and night.” Luke 18:1&6-8

“So I say to you: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Luke 11:9

From the beginning of the church, true disciples “were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, and to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.” Acts 2:42

Our Lord’s return in near, so “take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand confidently before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:34-36
