Jesus taught that true love is when we serve others’ needs instead of our own. And then he showed us how this is done. (Philippians 2:3-5)
Jesus suffered crucifixion and death. He took our place. He endured the punishment for our sins so that we would not. Jesus truly loves us! (1 Peter 2:24)
He obeyed his Father as an obedient son and gave up his life to save ours. Then he rose from the dead so that we will too. — This is the Good News we share with the world. (John 3:16)
And we who confess the name of Jesus are commanded to love as he did. “This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way that I have loved you.” (John 15:12-15)
Therefore, in all of our behavior to everyone everyday, let all that we do to be done in love. “For by this all people will know that we are his disciples, if we have love for one another.” (John 13:35)
