If Life has been generous to us, it is a blessing; also, it may be a curse that will lead our hearts away from the Truth. Too often, the poor are persecuted by the wealthy. It has always been so. The sinful nature of our humanity craves to feel superior to others. Wealth puts people in a position of great advantage. And many of them think that the poor are cursed and deserve to be less fortunate than themselves. People frequently look upon them with contempt and disdain. Beware! Do not permit your soul to lift up itself and think more highly of yourself than you do for all others. Pride of riches will eat away at your heart until it is in rags and worthless.
