Strong Body. Sound Mind

The benefits of staying physically fit are obvious and without dispute. Feeling strong and healthy improves one’s mind too.

The Russian chess masters are trained to be the best in the world from a very early age. A significant part of their daily routine is comprised of running, lifting weights, and swimming. – They have learned over many decades of preparing world champions how critically important being physically strong is in having a focused and mentally acute mind.

Indisputably, to maximize our enjoyment and length of life, knowledge and fitness are essential. – Unfortunately, neither of these provide a person with wisdom.

Wisdom is the ability to perceive truth and to live a life larger than our own. Only when we seek to create happiness and security for others will we experience the fullness of joy and contentment for ourselves. – This is how our Creator made us.

I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” – Jesus
