Apostle Peter met Jesus when he was casting a net for fish at the Sea of Galilee, with his brother Andrew.
As Jesus was walking nearby, he saw the two brothers and said, “Come, follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed him.
One day, Jesus told his disciples into get in a boat and to cross over the Sea of Galilee. As they were crossing a violent storm arose.
Then they saw Jesus nearby, walking on the water in the midst of the storm. Peter cried out to him and “Lord, if it is truly you then tell me to come to you on the water.”
– “Come.” Jesus said. Then Peter got out of the boat and began walking toward Jesus. But the wind and waves frightened him and he began to drown. Immediately. Jesus reached out and brought him back to the boat.
Then those in the boat cried out, “Truly, you are the Son of God!”
